Jax Kar Wash - Livonia

I would leave 0 stars if I could! A $17 car wash, plus getting haggled by the staff to upgrade to a membership, and my car still came out dirty. After emailing the address their “customer service” team over a week ago, I’ve received nothing but silence. Very disappointed. I miss locally owned car washes, not private equity bull crap that charges you your left arm for a car wash, then robs you on the back end and has you pulling out with a dirty car. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

This is the best car wash and it is very organized! When you can drive up to it, it's clear where to go, how to pay or get the club, and which car goes next. While you go through the wash, you see an abundance of soap, etc. I've been through car washes that just looked like they were just spraying water and rinsing off the car. They have people to dry off your car which always looks very clean with blacked tires. The vacuums always have great suction, too. All in all, I highly recommend! My only wish is there were more of them including some IN the city of Detroit.

I have been going here for a few months and not had any issues. Today I took my truck through and heard the worst screeching and scratching noise on the passenger side of my truck. After going through, one of the towel attendants told me I had scratches along the back tire panel. The manager came out and goes “how do you know those weren’t already there, maybe they were just under all the salt and dirt” this was after he himself pointed out the scratches. And when I told him that my truck is my baby, I keep it in perfect condition he just shrugged and said “it’s not my problem.” I do research and found out he was supposed to do a formal incident report and instead couldn’t care less. I told him about the noise and he goes “oh my machines don’t make that noise” 🤦‍♀️ these scraps are clearly new and he yet he couldn’t give two fs.

$25 for Everything wash plus a $5 tip. This is too much to come out with a dirty vehicle. Been 3 times. 1st time right after they opened was great. Was probably the best wash I've ever had. 2nd time I got home and noticed back of my truck looked like bristles barely touched, had lines in dirt from it. Went back next day and got a rewash for free but no apology. 3rd time, same thing but now the front grill and bumper and the rear tailgate again. My experience is progressively worse clean each time, not good! Why wouldn't the towel dry catch this? Or does the dirt just get rubbed/scratched into finish? I would suggest going down 5 Mile towards Inkster to that car wash. 1/2 the price and never came out of car wash with a dirty vehicle! No free vacuums at that wash though.

My first time visiting a Jax car wash. I paid for the $20 wash and provided a $10 tip. Sitting inside the vehicle during the wash, I thought this is probably going to be the best car wash ever. How wrong I was! After the wash I got out and walked around my vehicle. The first thing I noticed was the floorboards had a lot of mud in the corners. The rims weren't clean. The back window, hatch and bumper area were also pretty dirty....and I'm not talking about a little bit of dirt, I'm talking about a LOT of dirt. Personally I get much better results at the small car wash that I go to near my home in Milford. They have two people that spray your car all the way around and make sure there are no clumps of dirt on it. Their best car wash is $9.00...add a six dollar tip and my vehicle looks great for $15. I will never go to a Jax Car Wash again.
